Activating a license

After purchase you’ll receive an order email from Lemon Squeezy with your license key. Keep it safe — it’s the only piece of data that unlocks Pro.

Activate

1. Open Sendpad and go to Settings → License (or ⌘, → License).
2. Paste your key. It looks like:

   xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

3. Optionally set a Device name (defaults to your machine hostname).
4. Click Activate.

The panel switches to Pro — active and every Pro feature unlocks immediately. No restart required.

What activation does

• Validates the key against the Lemon Squeezy license-key API.
• Registers this machine as one of your device slots.
• Caches a signed validation record locally — offline grace starts from this moment.

The cache is stored in the user-scoped config (not in your workspace) and is never committed to git.

If activation fails

• “Invalid key” — check for typos; copy-paste directly from the order email.
• “Too many devices” — your plan’s device slots are all in use. See Managing devices to deactivate one.
• “Network error” — Sendpad needs internet to perform the first activation. Offline grace covers subsequent validations, not the initial one.

Verifying status

Settings → License always shows current status:

• Free — no key
• Pro — active — validated within the last 24 hours
• Pro — offline grace (N days left) — validated recently, currently offline
• Pro — expired — grace ran out; re-validation required
